MRS BESSIE LINDSAY COTTRILL, 438 N Mulberry St, died at Washington County Hospital Saturday at 10:20 am, aged 75 years. she had been taken ill the night before.

Born and reared in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Samuel W and Mary F (Goodrich) Lindsay. She was the last member of her generation of her family.

A member of Williamsport Methodist Church, she was the last surviving charter member of Golden Rule Council No 31, Sons and Daughters of Liberty, Williamsport; past officer of the State Council of the Sons and Daughters of Liberty; representative to its National Council; past noble grand, Mary Young Rebekah Lodge; a member of Pocahontas Lodge, Pythian Sisters, and the Auxiliary to Reno Post No Ten.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Frances Gibney, Hagerstown; Mrs. Mabel D Zimmerman, Williamsport; son, Charles S Cottrill, Baltimore; grandson, Robert A Cottrill, Army, In Alaska; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 pm at Suter Funeral Home, Rev Lester E Teter officiating. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Williamsport.
