Billy " Joe" Dove, 78, of Dayton passed away Friday, February 08, 2013 in Conroe. He was born in Rayville, Louisiana to parent William Decatur and Ruby Jewel Phillips Dove. He attended Robert E. Lee High School and was a longtime resident of Houston where he worked as a crane operator for Armco Steel. Mr. Dove moved to Dayton in 2004 and was a member of South Dayton Baptist Church. He also was a member of the Steel Workers Local and had been a Little League coach for sixteen years. He founded the Northshore Boxing Club and was a great fan of boxing.

Services for Mr. Dove will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2013 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Termite Watkins and Forrest Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Dove was preceded in death by father: William D. Dove, mother: Ruby Phillips Oates, wife: Kunigunde "Erika" Amanda Höhn Dove, son: Randy Dove, and step-father: W.W. "Bill" Oates.
