Edward W. Ellis, 78, of 1939 Park Avenue, Beloit died at Beloit Memorial Hospital Sunday Evening May 8, 1988 after a long illness. He was born March 14, 1910 in Moundville Wisconsin the son of Royden and Della Mills Ellis. He married Alma Thurber on April 4, 1931 in Rockford, Illinois. He was owner operator of the Park Avenue Feed Store, retiring in 1975. He is survived by his wife Alma; one son Richard C. (Marilyn) Ellis of Beloit, one daughter, Mrs. David (Yvonne M.) Disch of Madison, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Ida Hughes of Beloit and Mrs. Fern Kroeger of Shullsburg, Wisconsin and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and one brother, Herbert Ellis. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11 in the Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer Cranston Road Chapel with Pastor Bernard Norland of the Madison Gospel Tabernacle officiating,. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9pm today at the Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer Cranston Road Chapel.
