Daisy A. Romine age 106 former resident of West Main Street Portland passed away early Saturday morning in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare in Portland. She was born in Pennville January 22, 1908 the daughter of Charlie and Lulu (Jones) Abbott. She was married to Bernard Romine and he died in 1980. She had worked at Jay Garment for twenty five years then was owner of Click Tavern before selling it in 1970. She had been a member of the Women of the Moose and American Legion Aux.


Surviving are one brother Russell Abbott of Springfield, Ill., one sister Fern Bechdolt of Pleasant Mill, Three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son Dick Bond


Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Joe Hines presiding. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pennville. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
