Fred E. Breeden
ANAWALT - Fred Evans (Hardrock) Breeden, 57, died Tuesday in a Welch hospital.
Born March 12, 1929 at Anawalt, he was the son of the late Arthur Evans and Elsie Lang Breeden.
Mr. Breeden was a lifelong resident of Anawalt, a member of the Wesleyan church at O'Toole, was a heavy equipment operator for Patsy Trucking Co. and a Korean Conflict Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Izettie Davis Breeden; five daughters, LIVING; seven sons, LIVING; four sisters, Mrs. Sonny (Carrie) White, Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Patton and Susie Westmoreland, all of Roanoke and Mrs. Ronald (Louise) Johnson of Hickory, N.C.; a brother, Billy Breeden of Landgraff; 59 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will bein Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.
