Gerald J. Mesnard, 68, of Clyde, died at his home on Thursday, November 15, 2012.

Jerry was born in Clyde to the now deceased Jay Claude and Irene Celia (Bell) Mesnard. He attended Clyde schools and had worked in construction and then at K-Mart in Fremont.

He was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church and had served with the US Army in Vietnam. Jerry was a recepient of the Purple Heart.

Mr. Mesnard is survived by his wife, Teresa (Conner) Mesnard, two sons, Michael (Celebeth) Mesnard, Willard; and Jaymes (Angela) Mesnard, Clyde. Three grandchildren, Evan Mesnard; Isabella Mesnard and Alexis Parker. Four siblings, Bonnie Mayes, Clyde; La Donna Dorobeck, Fremont; Judith (Butch) Howey, Port Clinton and William (Peggy) Mesnard, Clyde also survive.

Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Violet Todd Mesnard in 1969; and sisters, Claudette Hilt; Betty Mesnard and Linda Mesnard.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 19,, 2012 from 10:00 AM until the services at noon at the Harvest Baptist Church. Burial in Bakertown Cemetery with military rites provided by the Clyde VFW and American Legion.
