Mrs. Albertine Faw Blevins of Jefferson died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at her home. She was 86.
Mrs. Blevins was born May 27, 1926, in Ashe County to Ballard and Edna Poe Faw.
Mrs. Blevins was preceded in death by her parents.
Albertine was office manager for 23 years at Blevins Motor Express. She was an active member of Mt. Jefferson Presbyterian Church since 1934.
Mrs. Blevins is survived by her husband, Hyte J. Blevins; one son, Joe Ray Blevins and wife Margaret of Jefferson; two grandchildren, Tina Blevins Simmons and husband Shane of Advance, and Judson Greer Blevins of West Jefferson; and two great grandchildren, Cameron and Parker Simmons of Advance.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the Mt. Jefferson Presbyterian Church by Rev. Will Heyward. Burial will follow in Scott-Blevins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Mt. Jefferson Presbyterian Church.
