On February 5, 2013, Patricia A Whitney went to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.

Patty was born in Nampa, Idaho on September 13, 1937 to Orville and Hazelle Busing.

Patty married Jim Owen and later divorced. They had one daughter, Dana Owen who resides in Boise.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Garl Nelson.

She is survived by her daughter, Dana; sister, Evelyn Nelson; and several nieces and nephews. Patty also is survived by many close friends from her childhood, work relationships and church friends.

The family wishes to thank the many wonderful people at MISTI, St Luke's and Dr. Montgomery. Patty was such a wonderful person-friendly, outgoing and upbeat even during the last several difficult years of poor health.

We will miss her and her great sense of humor and outlook on life. The family and all who know Patty will miss her terribly.

A celebration of Patty's life will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 11, 2013 at Anchor Baptist Church on the corner of Columbia Road and Kuna Meridian Hwy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Patty's name should be sent to the Idaho Humane Society.
