WELL KNOWN CARLINVILLE MAN DIES
Carlinville, July 22. - Elijah Franklin Woodman, 89, prominent and wealthy retired farmer, died at 3:05 o'clock this morning at his home, 616 South First South street.

Elijah F. Woodman was born at Rockbridge, Greene county, Illinois, Jan. 8, 1840, being one of a family of twelve children and a grandson of Elijah Woodman, Esquire, who emigrated to Illinois from Durham, N.H., and settled on Woodman Mound, Greene county, Illinois, Dec. 1, 1821.

Decedent is survived by his wife and the following children; Lola Keplinger, Detroit, Mich.; Gracia Brown, St. Louis, Mo.; Josephine Wilson, Annie Daley and Miss Jessie of Carlinville. Two sons, Loy L. of Visalia, Cal.; and Commodore B. of Oakland, Cal.

The funeral services will be held at the residence tomorrow, Tuesday, July 23 at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Gaither of Jerseyville officiating.

Interment will be made in the Mayfield Memorial mausoleum with Masonic rites.
