Funeral services will be held at noon Friday in the chapel of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, the Rev. Rudy Rios officiating. Burial will follow at the Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Walker was born March 2, 1928 in Winnfield, La., and lived in Texas City for 50 years. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Texas City and the Union of Operating Engineers Local 450.
He is survived by his wife, Pattie I. Walker of Texas City; three sons, Bobby Harold and wife, Gayle, Walker Jr. of Dickinson, Conley E. and Jodi Walker of Houston and Tommy J. and Linda Walker of Texas City; a sister, Edith Hammack [sic Hammock] of Texas City; two brothers, Marvin Walker of Galiano, La., and Bruce Walker of Oak Groves [sic Oak Grove], La.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers are Jim Lewis, Harold Tipping, J.C. Stanley, Alfred Turner and Kirby Cruse.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Galveston County, 1708 N. Amburn Road, Texas City.
