Mrs. Browder, widow of Henry Austin Browder, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013. Born in Lexington County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Samuel W. Steele and Mattie Wilson Steele. She was a lifetime member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Adult One Sunday School Class and the Priscilla Women's Circle. Mrs. Browder also volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Sybil Hudson (Jim) of Columbia; sons, Fred Browder (Llewellyn), Rick Browder (Pat) and Wade Browder (Joyce) all of West Columbia; sister-in-law, Mary Steele of West Columbia; brother, Kenneth Steele (Mae) of West Columbia; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Mrs. Browder was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel W. Steele, Jr. "Dub".
