She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whiteville. Mrs. Overton was preceded in death by her husband: Marcial Overton, her parents: Harry and Pearle Davis, one son: Danny Overton, one brother: Delmos Davis, and two sisters: Edna Coburn and Fannie Kate Castleman, and one son-in-law: James Cowan.
She is survived by two sons: Larry Overton (Linda), Brownsville, TN, and Marty Overton (Laura), Brooksville, FL, two daughters: Roselyn Cowan, Whiteville, TN and Kaye Baum (Jim), Germantown, TN, four grandchildren: Marcia Joyner, Roger Cowan, Cindy Currie and Teresa Wallis, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
