World War I∼Joseph was the first of two (2) boys born to Joseph Anton Weisbarth & Gertrude G. Gaynor. He served in the Naval Reserves, on active duty from 1917 till 1920, and attained the rank of Chief Machinists Mate. John was married twice. Although he had no children of his own, he helped raise two step children. He married Lillian E. Jackson on 25 Oct 1934. She had a daughter, Norine McDermott, from a previous marriage. Lillian Jackson died on 22 Jun 1938. John married his second wife Lillian Emily Tippin in Cleveland, Ohio, in about 1945. They had no children together. She had a son named Allyn Crawford from a previous marriage. Obituary follows:
