John H. Wehmhoff dies at 75
was Elyria industry executive
John H. Wehmhoff, 75, of 1580 Prospect St., died at Elyria Memorial Hospital at 5:15 a.m. today after a brief illness.
Mr. Wehmhoff, a member and past president of the Elyria Country Club, formerly served as a vice president with Manufacturers and Fabricators, where he was employed for 27 years.
He was born in Louisville, Ky. Nov. 3, 1904 and had lived in Elyria the past 44 years.
Mr. Wehmhoff was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church; King Solomon Masonic Lodge No. 56; Scottish Rite, Valley of Cleveland; and the AL Koran Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma H. (nee Harding); a son, WIlliam H., Elyria; and a sister, Mrs. C.H. (Ruth) Fischer, Elyria.
Friends may call at the Curtis-Scheuffler Funeral Home Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday with Dr. Roderic Pierce, head pastor of St. Andrew's Episcopal Churh [sic], officiating.
Burial will be in Fields Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions, if desired, be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
