Roscoe C. Fox, 84, 1190 E. Charles Road, died on Friday in Marion General Hospital. Mr. Fox was born in Limestone, Tenn., and had lived in Marion since 1940.


He was a retired carpenter at Whites Institute and a former carpenter for Ernest Smith, Marion. He formerly did volunteer work at Whites Institute. He married Martha M. Olinger on June 1, 1940. She died Sept. 17, 1987.


Survivors include four daughters, Dorotha Horn, Fowlerton, Linda (Mrs. Bob) Graves, Tyler, Texas, Jill (Mrs. Jim) Smith, Marion, and Betty (Mrs. Ted) Hall, Huntington; two sons, David (Ellen), Brownsburg, and Tom, Peru; two brothers, Fred Jr., Watagua, Tenn., and Harold (Ruth), Chuckey, Tenn.; a sister, Glenna (Mrs. Bill) Hughes, Johnson City, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.


Services were held on Tuesday in Needham-Storey Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., with the Rev. Thomas Mansbarger officiating. Burial was made in Estates of Serenity cemetery.
