Anita Louise "Sissie" Arnold, 64, of Marmet, went to her Lord and her next incredible journey on Tuesday, February 05, 2013, at CAMC Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
Born on January 1, 1949, Anita joined Dad, William "Bill" Arnold, Mom, Goldie Arnold and big brother Billy, as the much celebrated New Year's Baby of that year and she was very proud of that distinction.

She graduated from South Charleston High School and went to work for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources at the age of 17. She held several jobs with DHHR during her tenure, and retired in July of 2009 as an Executive Secretary for the Office of Inspector General, after nearly fifty years of service. Anita was very active with OIG and enjoyed planning the annual conferences and performing wonderfully entertaining skit with her friends and co workers, including 9-5 in full Dolly Parton regalia. Since her retirement, she has been enjoying some travel, movies and dinners with her friends and family, her "adopted" grandkids, crochet and needlecraft, puzzles and new found computer games.

She was an active and dedicated member of the Marmet Christian Church and enjoyed working with the Women's Group and especially enjoyed the Bible School activities each year.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents; brother;
step-mother, Patsy;
several precious uncles, aunts and cousins recently.

Anita is survived by
aunts, Mary Jo Thomas of Virginia and Barbara J. Higginbotham of Spring Hill;
step sister, Nancy Westfall of South Carolina;
step brother, John Hill;
a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly, especially her "adopted grandkids, Andrew and Willie Mercer, Teagan Hamil and Justice Frazier.

A Service to Honor her Life at Snodgrass Funeral Home with the Pastor Rick Ranson officiating. Burial at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
