Retired Capt. Fredie Wayne Anthony, 65, of Derby, Kan., was born Feb. 26, 1945, at Oran, Mo., the son of Bernard and Hazel Harmon Anthony, and passed away Aug. 13, 2010, at Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

Fredie retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service. He served in the Vietnam War.

Fredie and Jeane Dale Anthony were united in marriage Dec. 18, 1966, at Bell City, Mo., and she preceded him in death June 26, 1998.

Survivors include a son, Dale Anthony of Edmond, Okla.; a daughter, Danille Anthony of Wichita; two brothers, Kenneth Anthony of Topeka, Kan., and Pete Anthony of Alabama; a sister, Betty Anthony of Illinois; and six grandchildren, Lauran Anthony, Grace Anthony, Avery Anthony, Savanna Anthony, Gage Anthony and Julianna McIntosh.

He was preceded in death by his wife.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance, Mo., with the Rev. Eric Shrum officiating.

Morgan Funeral Home in Advance is in charge of arrangements.
