"Mrs. Mary Kostka, age 75, of 1621 19th St., Two Rivers; a native of Kewaunee County and a resident of Two Rivers for nearly 30 years, died at the Two Rivers Municipal hospital on Friday, where she had been a patient only a few days.

"Mrs. Kostka (
nee Mary Stangel) was born 12 May 1878 in Gibson (Township) in Manitowoc County; the fifth of eight children {five daughters & three sons} born to Joseph W. & Anna (Aulik) Stangel. On 7 February 1899 Mary married Frank Joseph Kostka at Cooperstown (Township) in Manitowoc County. Frank died over 30 years ago. After her husband's death, Mary made her home in Two Rivers.

"Surviving Mrs. Kostka are three sons, Frank, Joseph & Daniel Kostka of Two Rivers and a sister, Mrs. Anna Brahm of Milwaukee, nine grandchildren & seven great grandchildren. For many years she was a member of Saint Luke's Altar Society in Two Rivers."
