Funeral Services for James Freeman Blankenship are scheduled for Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. The family will host a visitation on Monday evening at the funeral home from 7-8 pm.
Freeman Blankenship was born Sept. 15, 1925 in Marland, Ok. to Shell and Max Alvin (Freeman) Blankenship. He passed this life on June 16, 2018 at his residence in Ardmore. He graduated from Meadowbrook High School and served his country in the US Army. Freeman was retired from the Maintenance Dept at the Bell Oil and Gas Refinery.
Freeman married Irmadene Mapp in Marietta, OK on October 23, 1954. She preceded him in death in 2013.
He is survived by his sons, David Blankenship and Lynn Blankenship both of Ardmore; cousins, Danna Kay Trueblood, Sharon Bean and Brenda Lindsay.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lindsay, Dudley Smith, Lloyd Gentry, Tony Keith, Rob Porter and Dennis Chaney.
