She was born in Searles, Ala., and lived in Palatka since 1948 coming from Tuscaloosa, Ala. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Peniel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Dobbins, and a daughter, Christine Morrow.
She is survived by a son, James T. Dobbins of Inverness; two daughters, Betty McKee and Doris Pope, both of Palatka; two brothers, Ormond Matthews of Birmingham, Ala., Albert Matthews of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sister, Ozelle Crowe of Lynn haven; 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Rev. Dannie Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 28 Jul 1994.)
