Mrs. Sallie J. Devin, wife of Dr. J. F. Devin of Shelbyville died at her home in Shelbyville at 11:30 o'clock Tuesday night after many weeks of illness, Mrs. Devin was a daughter of S. B. Lowman of northwest of Shelbina and was born in this county September 26, 1861 and about sixteen or seventeen years ago was married to Dr. Devin. She was an ideal Christian wife and mother and during her long illness was always a patient sufferer and thoughts of her two little girls and her husband and other loved ones were always apparent in her mind. The funeral, conducted by Rev. C. P. Blayney, was held at the Presbyterian church at Shelbyville Thursday afternoon at two o'clock.

Mrs. S. J. Devin, wife of Dr. J. F. Devin, died at her home in Shelbyville Tuesday night of last week, after a prolonged illness. The deceased was a daughter of S. B. Lowman of west of Shelbyville. She leaves a husband and two little daughters to mourn her death.
