Edna was the wife of the late Bertram Hickman Jr.
Born in Philadelphia on Jan. 18, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Louis Bowers and Edna G. Litty.
In 1943, during World War II, Edna received her nursing training at Rosebud Indian Reservation.
She was employed as a school nurse at Unami Middle School and Central Bucks High School East.
She is survived by a son, Bertram R. Hickman; a daughter, Joyce A. Haines; granddaughters, Robin S. Reed, Kimberly S. Haines, and Jessica L. Hickman; and great-grandchildren, Jacen C. Reed and Benjamin R.S. Reed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, at Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 East Butler Ave. (Route 202), Chalfont, where her funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
