The News, Frederick, MD, September 14, 1965: "Mrs. Nettie L. Johnson, 82, of Damascus died Saturday at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. She was born in Howard County, a daughter of the late Thomas and Sally Peddicord Hungerford. She was a member of Providence Methodist Church and was the widow of Charles W. Johnson. Surviving are three sons Charles E. Johnson of Damascus, Walter S. Johnson of Damascus and Frank T. Johnson of Eldersburg; four sisters Mrs. William Harrison of Ellicott City, Mrs. Ida Simpson of Sykesville, Mrs. Emma Ridgley of Dayton and Mrs. Kate Thompson of West Friendship; one brother William Hungerford of Germantown; and 19 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home in Damascus, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Frank Depro, pastor of Damascus United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be Providence Cemetery in Glenelg."
