"On Tuesday George McLean, brother of Attorney W. S. McLean, died in Wilkes-Barre after a brief illness. He was born at Summit Hill, Carbon County, and spent the early years of his manhood n the West, in Colorado and Montana. He served with distinguished gallantry during the war of the rebellion and was wounded eleven times. The deafness which had come on him of late years was the result of one of these wounds. He was a man of noble heart and many sterling qualities of mind and character that gained for him a host of warm and devoted friends. The funeral will take place, Friday at 2 pm., interment being private."
