He is survived by his wife; his two sons; two granddaughters; brother; five sisters; and numerous in-laws.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Hilda Wilm; & brothers Ricky, Mark and Jim.
Sonny grew up and lived in Joliet all his life, and worked for Sheffield Steel for 25 years, & was working for Parsac when he died.
Sonny is an avid fan of racing at Route 66.
Funeral services will be held Friday February 8, 2013 at 11:00am at the Blackburn Giegerich Sonntag Funeral Home 1500 Black Road, Joliet, Illinois.
Interment to be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

∼ERNEST F. WILM, JR. "SONNY", age 58 died peacefully at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center with his family by his side.
Sonny grew up and lived in Joliet all his life, and worked for Sheffield Steel for 25 years. Currently working for Parsac. Avid fan of racing at Route 66.
He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie and his two sons Ernest the III (Fritz) Chris and Daniel (Vanessa) Wilm. His cherished granddaughters pumkin (Emily) and squirt (Chloe). Also surviving one brother Art, Joyce and Donnie, Fran and Dino and Eileen. His in laws Judy and Joe (deceased), Carl (dec.) and Sharon, Robert and Cindy, Larry (deceased) and Gayle, Shirley (deceased) and Lindell. Carol (deceased) and James (deceased), Gloria and James, Ruth (deceased) and Sonny (deceased), Richard and Tammy, Charles and Deb, Tammy and Wally, Bev and Billy, Sherry and Tom, RoseAnn and Darell, Dave and Brenda, Fred and Kathy and Betty. Many dear friends and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
