Her pastor was away on his vacation at the time and did not reach home until after her spirit had taken flight. The deceased was born near Clarion a little more than 55 years ago and has resided in this vicinity all of her life. She was a consistent member of the Clarion Baptist Church, havaing made a profession of Christianity in early life. She leaves to her family and friends the consolation that she departed in the asssurance of a bright and blessed immortality. She was a kind and helpful mother. In referred to her it was said,"She was the best mother," which truly expresses the devoton she bestowed upon her children. Among the relatives and friends she leaves to mourn their loss are three daughters residing in this place, viz: Miss Flora Patterson, Mrs. Donahoo and Mrs. O.F. Dieffenbacher. These with all the other bereaved relatives have the sympathy and condolence of a large circle of friends.The funeral services were held at her late residence on Sabbath afternoon and were attended by an unusually large concourse of relatives, neighbors and friends. The services were conducted by Rev. L.J. Shoemaker, assisted by Dr. J.S. Elder, at the conclusion of which the remains were laid to rest in Clarion cemetery.

Annie was the daughter of John Potter.
She had a brother, Dr. J. Potter and a sister Mrs. Sherrif Beck.
