He was a retired farmer of the Wheeler community and a member of the Prospect Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Waters Funeral Home chapel with burial in Prentiss Memorial Gardens. Brother W.E. Sharp and brother Charles Fowler will officiate.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Lindsey Johnson; three daughters, Mrs. Jane Shook, Mrs. Joan Neblett, both of Wheeler, Mrs. Velma Hill of Baldwyn; two sons, Boyd Johnson of Baldwyn, Thomas Johnson of Corinth; two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Wigginton of Tupelo, Mrs. Burtie Lindsey of Wheeler; four brothers; Vonnie Johnson, Edgar Johnson, both of New Albany, Demp Johnson of Guntown, Lawrence Johnson of New Albany; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
