Carn Foch Hiott, Sr., of Walterboro, entered into God's precious care February 13 in Hilton Head Island.

"Mr. Foch" was a son of the late Calhoun H. Hiott and Annie Fender Hiott.

He was a member of Doctor's Creek Baptist Church, was a member of Unity #55 Masonic Lodge, and was a member of the Happy Travelers Camping Club. "Mr. Foch" was a retired rigger from the Charleston Naval Shipyard and was a retired farmer. He served his country in the United States Army.

"Mr. Foch" & his loving wife, "Miss Mary Alice", resided in Walterboro until 2001, when they moved to Hilton Head Island with their daughter and family.

Surviving are: his wife of 64 years, Mary Alice Baker Hiott; his children, C. Foch Hiott, Jr., and his wife Linda of Ruffin, SC, Robert Hiott and his wife Sandy of Columbia, and Margaret Johnson and her husband David, Sr., of Hilton Head Island; ten grandchildren, Wendy and Rick Lee of Walterboro, Clark and Jennifer Hiott, Vivian Hiott, and Regina Hiott, all of Ruffin, Jeremy and April McMillan of Smoaks, Tim and Karen Hiott and Rhonda and Brent Bailey, all of Walterboro, Michael Dopson, Jr., of San Francisco, CA, and David Johnson, Jr., and Maria Johnson, both of Hilton Head Island; and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Annamae McMillan; a granddaughter, Khrystyn Alice Johnson; two brothers, Joel Hiott and Marion Fender; and a sister, Helen Davis.
