Henrietta Alsobrook was born in Georgia. Her parents were Landon Alsobrook and Roseman "Rosa" Smith Alsobrook. She was the mother of John Thomas Alsobrook born about 1871 in Georgia and lived with John Thomas Alsobrook's family in Eufaula, Barbour Co., Alabama. The family also lived in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama for a number of years - probably 1902 or 1903 until late 1906 or early 1907. In Huntsville, tragedy struck the small Alsobrook family. Minnie, the wife of John Thomas, died on Dec. 8, 1905 at the age of 27. Six months later, 8 year old Thomas Neville Alsobrook, was run over by an apple wagon in Huntsville and died without regaining consciousness. The family then returned to Eufaula where Mrs. Alsobrook died in April 1907.
