Carrie Elizabeth (Pisciotta) Stubblefield, 99, of Lenexa, KS went to be with the Lord Wed, February 6, 2013. Visitation will be at 2pm with service at 3pm on Sat, February 9th at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Carrie was born December 5, 1913 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Rosario and Calogera Pisciotta. She was the last of twelve children born to an immigrant Italian family from Salaparuta, Sicily. She worked for her brother Phillip Pisciotta's Produce Company and later met her husband, William F. Stubblefield. They were married September 11, 1937. Carrie had a wonderful sense of humor, which endeared people to her. She loved teaching Sunday school and shared the Lord with everyone she knew. Carrie enjoyed playing the piano and passed her love of music on to her daughter. Her many sacrifices provided her daughter the opportunity for success in learning the accordion. She took pride in Betty Jo using her musical talents to bring joy to others. Along with her parents, and siblings, Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" in 1978. Survivors include; daughter, Betty Jo Simon (Wolfgang); two grandchildren, Eric Simon (Susan) and Brandi Henderson (Ruble) of Colorado Springs, CO; three great grandchildren, Eliana and Zadok Simon and Adin Henderson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. The family wishes to thank Lakeview Village Care Center personnel for their kindness and compassion. Contributions are welcome to Lakeview Village Foundation Good Samaritan Fund.
