Floyd Crawford "Corky" Cooper Sr., 72, of Austell died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at White Columns Funeral Home in Mableton. Burial will be in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta.

An Atlanta native, Mr. Cooper was an Army veteran. He retired as a fire apparatus operator from the Atlanta Fire Department after 30 years' service. He was a van driver for Cobb Mental Health Services.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lemming Cooper; two sons, Kenny Cooper of Douglasville and Floyd C. Cooper Jr. of Norcross; two daughters, Lynn Abbey of Smyrna and Gwen Smith of Austell; and eight grandchildren.

Contributions may be made to the Atlanta Fireman's Widows and Family Assistance Program.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
