NUTTER FORT — Sara Gail Oliverio, age 74, of Clarksburg, departed this life Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport following an extended illness.
She was born November 17, 1938, in Troy, Alabama, a daughter of the late Duard Moody “Hop” Rushing and Sara Frances Holley Rushing.
Her husband of 56 years, Frank Mario Oliverio, resides at their home. Also surviving are two sons, Frank Mario Oliverio II and his wife, Gloria and Chris Oliverio and his wife, Kelly; three daughters, Gina Barth and her husband, Robert, Debbie Caroli and her husband, Greg and Frankie Jo Spagnuolo and her husband, Simeon; nine grandchildren, Stacy Prescott, David Ingram, Michael McNemar, Zachery and Alex J. Spagnuolo and Frank III, Tiana, Jonathan and Willa Oliverio; four great-grandchildren, Kayla McNemar, Braiden Ingram, Alexandra and Brooklyn Prescott; one great-great-grandchild, Chase Oliverio and one brother, Joseph Rushing.
In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Michele Kay McNemar and one sister, Barbara Anne Dahn.
Gail was co-owner of Frank’s Furniture on Buckhannon Pike for over 50 years. She loved traveling with her husband throughout the world and was an avid Bingo player. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Family and friends will be received at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday, February 9, 2013, from 2 - 8 p.m. A Vigil Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 126 East Pike Street, Clarksburg, with Father Casey Mahone and Father Patsy Iaquinta as concelebrants. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
