Born December 13, 1927 in Oneida, she was the daughter of the late Ida Mae Phillips.
Mrs. Walker worked as the Director of the Senior Citizens Center; and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Oneida for over 60 years. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, and a Volunteer at Scott County Hospital.Besides her mother,
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husbands: Fenton Massey and Ballard Walker; brothers: M.B. and Mary Phillips, T.C. and Vesta Phillips and M.H. and Grace Phillips; sister: Ruth Phillips and her twins.
She is survived by four children: Wanda and Ben Walker of Kingston, TN, Esther and Danny Smith of Oneida, Nancy Cadle of Oneida, and Jim and Mary Massey of Helenwood; eight grandchildren: Scott and Chris Walker, Natalie and Shawn Kosnik, Danielle and John Sexton, Daniel and Samantha Smith, Treye and Melinda Cadle, Amy Massey and Jamie and Mary Ann Massey; eighteen great grand children; sister: Mary and Prentice Mullins of St. Louis; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.Friends may visit with the Massey-Walker family on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 6 – 9 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church located at 234 N. Main St. in Oneida, TN.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Bro. Keith Knight officiating. Burial will follow in the Carson Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Scott and Chris Walker, Daniel Smith, Treye Cadle, Jamie Massey, John Sexton, Noah Kosnik, Gage Kosnik and Shawn Kosnik.
