Daughter of Willard Boulter and Mary Emily Wadley Enniss. Married Earl Serenus Allen December 20, 1906 in the Salt Lake temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

They were parents of 8 children, Ronald Earl, Donald Ennis, Venar William, Alda, Willard Burton, Arvol Dwaine, John Emery and Janis Allen.

She was the second of 12 children of Willard and Mary. After Mary died Willard married Annie Durant Huff and adopted her son Leonard Birdsell Franklin, then they became parents of Mary, Noel, Jane and Bruce who became Mabel's step and half siblings.
