My great grandmother...Mrs. Myrtle L. Holloway, 95, of Valley died Tuesday, May 16, 1995, at Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley.
Mrs. Holloway, a lifelong resident of Chambers County, was born April 17, 1900. She was a member of Huguley Congregational Christian Church and a retired employee of West Point Pepperell's Shawmut Mill.
Survivors include one son, Loyd Holloway of Sharpsburg, Ga.; four daughters, Christine Holladay and Lucille Freeman of Valley and Evelyn Duck and Ethel Raye of Lanett; four sisters, Sally Bolt and Thelma Barbour of Lanett, Lala Hancock of Roanoke, and Cordie Mae House of Valley; and 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley at 2 p.m. EDT Thursday, May 18, with the Revs. J. H. King and Roy Baines officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to one's favorite charity in her memory. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
