Bertha was the daughter of Edgar M. and Mary Jane (Holladay) Chaney. Bertha and Charles had 4 daughters: Ester L., Sarah L., Lillian V., and Mary C.
After the death of Bertha, Charles marries a second time in Citrus County, Florida 1955 to Edna Mary Keene.
