DUNKIRK, Md. — Bonnie Carr Estes, 86, of Dunkirk, Md., formerly of Sewell Mountain, Rainelle, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2013.

Born Dec. 18, 1926, in Powellton, she was the only child of the late Rev. Mont and Beulah Mayes Carr.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Estes, in 1989.

Bonnie worked at the Crawford Superette in Charmco for several years, the Rainelle Tent Factory and was a homemaker. She attended Big Sewell Baptist Church and Sturgeon Branch Baptist Church until she moved to Dunkirk, Md., six years ago and attended Christian Fellowship of Calvert Church in Owings, Md.

Survivors include her son, Johnny B. Estes and wife, Glenda, of Ringgold, Ga.; her daughter, Irlanda Estes Jones and husband, Robert, of Arnold, Md.; her daughter, Denise Bennett and husband, the Rev. Daniel Bennett, of Dunkirk, Md.; her son, the Rev. Dennis Estes and wife, Diana, of Buckhannon; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the Smathers Funeral Chapel in Rainelle, with Pastor Kermit Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.

Friends may call two hours before the service from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
