Sally, 83, of Grapevine, TX, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to many. She was born on September 27, 1929 in Floyd, Texas to the late William and Nellie Bickley. A longtime Dallas resident, Sally was a committed Christian and a tireless community leader and volunteer. Sally grew up surrounded with 10 brothers and sister, and brought her love of family to whatever she did. She was the center and foundation of our lives. Sally is survived by her husband of 64 years, Hollis Wade Goodman, Sr., of Grapevine, Texas; Son, Hollis Wade Goodman, Jr. and his wife Sue of Vero Beach; Daughters, Susan Kay Herndon and husband Boyd of Southlake, Nancy Edith Lollar and husband Dean of Roswell, Joan Leslie Williamson and husband James of York, and Marcia Lynn Knot and husband Don of Morrison; Grandchildren, Travis, Katie, Tim, Sarah, Laura, Morgan, and Holly; Great Grandson, Alex; and Brother, Jim Bickley. A Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
