Alard "Flick" Francis Wirasnik, age 84, died at Cedar Hill Healthcare in Windsor, January 21, 2011. Flick was born on March 5, 1926, in Selkirk, NY to the late Charles John and Mary Nellie (Priblovits) Wirasnik.

He was raised and educated in Selkirk and lived in Albany, NY before moving to this area in 1963.

He married Pauline Smith on December 12, 1964 and shared 45 years together until her passing in October 2009.

Flick was a member of the Windsor Methodist Church.

Flick dealt with farm equipment all his life, working for International Harvester as Territory Manager, J.I. Case as Area Manager in Vermont and New Hampshire and with
Hesston Corporation as Territory Manager for all of New England and Ontario, Canada.

Flick is survived by stepsons, Norman M. Bridge of Windsor, VT., Steven Bridge of Concord, NH., son Joseph Wirasnik (and wife Shelley) of Hartland, VT, Danny Wirasnik (and wife Sandra) of Bennington, VT, and Tim Wirasnik (and partner Annette) of No. Charleston, NH., two daughters: Linda
Pierce of Bennington, VT and Sherry Line (and husband Bruce) of Winooski, VT, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Flick was predeceased by his brothers, Charles John Wirasnik, Joseph Wirasnik and William Wirasnik, and his sister Mary Vadney.

Flick enjoyed gardening and fishing and took a lot of pride in everything he did, not to mention the endless hours pruning his raspberries.

Flick and Polly enjoyed many years of retirement in Myrtle Beach, SC. in the winters, where they were known as the founders of the Annual Vermont Day luncheon, a gathering of fellow Vermonters for good food and conversations. They also spent many peaceful summers at their camp on the
Connecticut River, then wonderful years at Country Estates, Old Windsor Village and finally Cedar Hill Healthcare.
