She was a school teacher for 35 years and was a member of Landrum First Baptist Church since she was 12 years old and taught Sunday School for over 50 years.
She is survived by a son Leonard Bagwell and wife Dianne of Columbia; two daughters, Anne Bagwell of Columbia and Gracie Bagwell of Landrum; a grandson, Brent Bagwell and wife Amy and a great grandson, Charlie of Charlotte.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Jack Carruth and Leroy G. "Fat" Carruth.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm Friday, July 17, 2015 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm at the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Mark Bishop. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
