Dustin Christopher Cribb Ward, 20, died Monday, January 22, 2007, in an automobile accident.

Mr. Ward was born in Georgetown on May 6, 1986, a son of Jackie Lyn Cribb and the late Sheila Laverne Ward Cribb. He was reared by his maternal grandparents, Homer Laverne Ward and Martha Ann King Ward.

Mr. Ward grew up in the Cedar Creek Community of Williamsburg County and graduated with honors from Howard Adult Education Center in Georgetown. He was a heavy equipment operator.

He was survived by his father of Georgetown; his maternal grandparents of Andrews; a brother, Steven Anthony Ward of Andrews; a half-sister, Terrin Nichole Cribb of Newberry; and his paternal grandparents, Don and Mamie Cribb of Georgetown.

Funeral services were Thursday, January 25, 2007, at Gourdine's Chapel. The Rev. Themos J. Cribb officiated.

Burial, directed by Mayer Funeral Home, followed in Ward Family Cemetery.
