ARCHIBALD — Michael Archibald, 61, of Chico, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2013, in Chico. Arrangements are under the direction of Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home, 342-9003.

Michael Walter Archibald was born to Melvin "Bill" Archibald and Erma Arleen Johnson Archibald on May 26, 1951. He was promoted to glory on January 31, 2013, with his loving family by his side, after a fight with pneumonia.
Mike graduated from Live Oak High School in 1969, attended Yuba College and California State University of Chico.
In 1976 he married Kim Moore in Chico where they created their three beloved sons, Bryan, Kyle & Garth. Mike was very sports oriented which was reflected in his three sons.
Mike was an avid fisherman and a general contractor in the construction field for 34 years, spending the last 15 years as an elite superintendent. Mike was a faithfully committed member of Grace Community Church. His family is comforted by the thought that he has joined his parents and son Bryan in Heaven.
Mike is survived by sons, Kyle & Garth; sister, Holly; brother, David and numerous nieces & nephews. Mike is also survived by a loving friend, Donna Sandberg.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Community Church, 2346 Floral Ave., Chico.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chase Bank "Mike Archibald Memorial Fund" in care of the funeral home.
