Marvin Reese Stone, 78, of Kirvin, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013, as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., February 8, 2013, at Capps Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, at Capps Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in St. Elmo Cemetery.

Marvin was born in Kosse, Texas, to the late George Cousins Stone and Mary Elizabeth Davis Stone. On October 29, 1950, Marvin married Geneva Roberts in Texas City, Texas. They owned and operated M.R.'s Auto Ranch near Richland Chambers Reservoir for a number of years. They had been Freestone County residents since 1994, having moved from Robertson County. They were current members of First Baptist Church of Normangee and former members of New Hope Baptist Church near Streetman. Marvin served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War. Marvin and Geneva loved to travel, visit Colorado, and were known for their love of people and their happiness.

Marvin was preceded in death by brothers: George, Clyde, and Charles Stone.

Survivors include his daughter, Terri Reichert and husband, Richard, of Kirvin; grandchildren: Danny Reichert, of Marlin, James Reichert and wife, Billie, of Bonham, and Ronnie Reichert and wife, Debbi, of Streetman; great-grandchildren: Joseph Reicher, Clayton Reichert, Jodi Reichert, Zach Shrum, Danielle Reichert, Santana Sianez, and Reese Reichert; sister, Margie Anderson, of Austin; other relatives and many friends.
