Funeral services for Mr. John M. Green, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in the Chapel of Community Pentecostal Church in Manifest, Louisiana, with Reverends Claude Terrell and Ronnie House officiating. Interment will be in Huffman Cemetery, Manifest, Louisiana, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Green, age 80, of West Monroe, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Glenwood Medical Center in West Monroe, Louisiana.
He was a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was a retired Certified Diesel Mechanic, and also owned and operated a trucking company. He attended Community Pentecostal Church, Manifest, Louisiana. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in Japan during the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Wayne Green.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Geraldine Ewing Green of Winnsboro; one son, John Scott Green of Manifest; two daughters, Priscilla Ola of Winnsboro and Belinda Wiley (Jeffery) of Larto, Louisiana; one sister, Aquilla Parker of Edmond, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
