BRUMBELOW, Morris Morris "Dick" Brumbelow peacefully passed away February 3, 2013. Dick was born on August 21, 1916 in Roswell, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Sara. Dick was also preceded in death by his siblings, Talmadge, Pearl, Freddie Mae, and Oma. Dick faithfully served his country in the Navy during World War II and was stationed in the Pacific theater on New Hebredes Island. He was the personal driver for his commanding officer. After a successful career at Ivan Allen, he retired in 1980 after thirty two years of employment. Dick and Sara were not blessed with children, but had numerous nieces and nephews. Dick is survived by his brother in law William "Bill" Richardson, Anne Richardson Hodges, her husband Marion, and their children Sara and Will, nieces and nephews, James Greer and Sara Greer, David Coker, Patsy, Hal, Patrick and Chase Jones, Robert and Larry Brumbelow. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 11:00 AM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors. Rev. Joel Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday evening, 7:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the The at www.heart.org, or The at www.alz.org.
