Flight Officer Bonchi served with the 213th
Base Unit, Mountain Home Army Air Base,

He was one of six airmen fatally injured in the
crash landing of B-24J Liberator #42-100056,
when the pilot was forced to set the bomber
down due to engine fires, eight miles south of
the airfield.

Son of Ann (Maniani) Bonchi, native of Italy.

The five other airmen who died were:
