Tracy Lyn Bandy, age 45, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord Monday Feb. 4, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.


Tracy was born May 4, 1967, in Knoxville, to Thomas and Rose Crawford McLemore. Tracy was a 1985 graduate of Karns High School and then attended the University of Tennessee. Tracy loved her family and her daughter, Erika, was her life. She loved her trips to Walt Disney World with her husband, Dale, and her daughter, Erika. Tracy was an only child and the many vacations to the beach and trips camping in the mountains with her parents were special times that she cherished.


Tracy attended the Park West Church of God and her strong faith and relationship with God never diminished during the past years as she struggled with her illness.


Tracy is survived by her husband, Dale Bandy of Knoxville; daughter, Erika Bandy of Knoxville; parents, Thomas and Rose McLemore of Knoxville; father- and mother-in-law, the Rev. James and Betty Bandy of Harriman; brother-in-law, David Bandy and his wife, Phyllis, of Harriman; sister-in-law, Cheri Foust, and her husband, Kevin, of Harriman; uncles, Fred Crawford and his wife, Ann, and Ronnie McLemore and his wife, Sissy; aunt, Brenda Jordan and her husband, Jackie; and special friends, Judy Elkins and Hank and Debbie Peck.


A celebration of Tracy's life will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Heritage Fellowship Church in Oak Ridge with the Rev. Herschel Baker, the Rev. David Bandy Jr., and the Rev. Jeremy McGinnis officiating.


A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.


The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the church.


Tracy's family would like to thank Avalon Hospice, especially nurses Mary and Erika for the love and care given to Tracy.
