Amherst-Edward D. Gawne, 69, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday at his home, 248 North Main street.
Mr. Gawne was born in Amherst township August 24, 1884 and spent his entire life in this vicinity. He was employed as a machinist.
Besides his wife, Edith, he is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Margaret Jewel, Mrs. Norma Sexton, and Miss Alice Gawne, of Amherst, Mrs. Betty Alu, Cleveland, Mrs. Lois Green, Lorain, and the Rev. Dorothy Coslet, Helena Mont.; one son, Robert Gawne, Lorain and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Emmerich Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. The Rev. Daniel E. Buser will oficiate. Interment will be at the Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
