She was a member of First Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary both of Dodge City, KS and a former member Kansas Cosmetology Assoc. Survivors are son, Lee of Webb City, Mo; brother, Roy Harshberger,Jr of Minneola, KS and sisters: Betty Scott of Dodge City, KS and Wilma King of Hutchinson, KS and three grandchildren. Burkhart Funeral Chapel made arrangements. Valo married Harold B Altman on Oct 12, 1944 in Columbus, Kansas. Divorced in 1953.
