Mr. George Herbert Phelps, 62, of Ridge Road, Damascus, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville. He was the husband of Margaret Lewis Phelps.
Born March 11, 1921, in Washington, D.C., Mr. Phelps was a son of the late Walter S. and Estella M. Clark Phelps.
Mr. Phelps was a retired maintenance engineer.
Surviving, besides his wife, are a sister, Mrs. Beulah Brown, Cape Coral, Fla.; and three brothers, Walter S. Phelps of Arlington, Va., Milton Phelps of Tennessee and Nelson B. Phelps, Hyattsville.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, in Monocacy Cemetery, Md. 28, Beallsville.
The family requests that flowers be omitted. There will be no visitation with the family at the funeral home prior to services. Arrangements by Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home, Damascus.
